Coming Up Next on APRIL 8, 2018 from 11am to 1pm

It’s Time to

with the Frolicking Fairies of A Midsummer Night’s Dream

“Strong reasons make strong actions.” -William Shakespeare

On Sunday, April 8th from 11am to 1pm, join the San Diego Civic Youth Ballet for this unique and memorable fundraiser, perfect for the whole family!  In ballet, “assemblé” means to bring together, and this event will allow our supporters, donors and families to come together with the common purpose of making a difference in the lives of our student dancers, by celebrating the vital need for arts education.

Hosted in Balboa Park on the stage of the Casa del Prado Theater before the final performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, this behind-the-scenes peek at the ballet will allow children to meet and take photos with costumed characters, while everyone enjoys sweet treats and morning drinks, access to a silent auction and the chance to learn about other ways to show support for SDCYB's mission.

Tickets for this "add-on" fundraiser are $25, with all proceeds benefitting SDCYB’s programming.

(Note: tickets to the matinee of the ballet following the event are sold separately.)

Youth in Arts Exhibit

EDUCATE, ELEVATE and CELEBRATE with Historic Balboa Park Youth Organizations at “YOUTH IN ARTS” Exhibit

San Diego Civic Youth Ballet (SDCYB), San Diego Junior Theatre (SDJT), San Diego Youth Symphony & Conservancy (SDYS) and San Diego Civic Dance Arts (SDCDA)

For generations, countless students have entered the halls of the historic Casa del Prado to enrich their lives through dance, theatre, music and the magic of live performance.  This fall, San Diego Civic Youth Ballet, San Diego Junior Theatre, San Diego Youth Symphony & Conservatory and San Diego Civic Dance Arts will come together to share our collective stories through an ongoing exhibit in the Casa del Prado Theater.

“Youth in Arts” will educate, elevate and celebrate the impact that has been made on our community through decades of educational and artistic opportunities.

Exhibit opened October 2, 2015 and is currently open.
