SAN DIEGO CIVIC YOUTH BALLET WELCOMES LINDSEY SEEGERS AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — San Diego Civic Youth Ballet (SDCYB), the historic nonprofit ballet school serving the San Diego community since 1945, is pleased to announce the appointment of Lindsey Seegers as its new Executive Director.
A lifelong advocate for the arts and nonprofit leadership, Seegers brings more than 15 years of executive management experience in mission-driven organizations, including extensive work in fundraising, strategic planning, community engagement, and organizational growth. As a classically trained ballet student for 12 years, she also brings a personal appreciation for the transformative power of dance. In her role she will partner with Artistic Director Danika Pramik-Holdaway to further SDCYB's mission of providing every child the opportunity to study, understand, and appreciate the art of ballet.
Most recently, Seegers served as Executive Director of Voices of Our City Choir, a nationally recognized San Diego nonprofit that uses music and creative expression to empower people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. During her tenure, she led the organization's growth from a $313,000 budget to more than $1.2 million, secured significant capacity-building investments, expanded community programming, and strengthened the organization's long-term strategic vision.
"Lindsey's passion for the arts, combined with her proven leadership in nonprofit management and community engagement, makes her an exceptional fit for San Diego Civic Youth Ballet," said Jennifer Lesaigle, Chair of the SDCYB Board of Directors. "Her experience building sustainable organizations while keeping mission at the center will help ensure that future generations of young dancers continue to thrive."
Seegers joins SDCYB as the organization continues its 80-year legacy of providing high-quality, affordable ballet education and performance opportunities in Balboa Park. Today, SDCYB serves hundreds of students annually through year-round classes, performances, scholarships, educational outreach, and inclusiveprograms such as Ballet for Me!, which offers tuition-free classical ballet instruction for children with disabilities. The organization remains committed to its vision that every child should have the opportunity to dance.

Founded in 1945, San Diego Civic Youth Ballet is the resident classical ballet school in Balboa Park, offering affordable, year-round instruction for dancers ages 4 through adult while enriching the cultural life of the San Diego region through performances, outreach, and arts education.
